Last Saturday we did what any good book geeks would do on a beautiful sunny Saturday—we went to a library book sale. While Mincy scoured the animal and nature sections for bird books, I ended up (as always) in the old book section. I came home with the two books pictured above, both a small 4x6 size, what's called "pocket edition" as stated in the back of the Brontë book. As I've read a lot book by both of these authors, I always find it fascinating to read about their lives, as well. I don't know what it is, but in this age of ipads and kindles, where you can read anything you want on a screen anytime and anywhere, I still love the feel of an old book with its yellowed pages, and the idea that someone generations ago was holding this book and enjoying it just as much as I am today.
