Office Manager/Bookkeeper

Located in North Hollywood, The Mincing Mockingbird has been artist-owned since its inception in 2007. We have always cheekily agreed with Andy Warhol’s opinion that “Being good in business is the most fascinating kind of art…good business is the best art.” We’re looking for an amiable and hardworking Office Manager/Bookkeeper to help us achieve the art of “good business.”

  • Skillfully execute Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries 
  • Provide payroll information to our PEO for timely payroll fulfillment
  • Work hand-in-hand with our PEO HR team with onboarding/offboarding, administration and training of personnel
  • Keep vendors, partners, licensors and manufacturers happy by getting them paid on time and to the penny
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with policies and procedures within the Employee Handbook and Operations Manual, as well as continually updating those documents
  • Use eye-catching graphs and charts to dazzle the artist-owners, prepare a monthly financial analysis and reporting package that identifies what’s really happening across the company
  • Improve existing office and bookkeeping systems, finding fresh and innovative ways to help the company achieve its true potential
  • Create and maintain important records, with a constant eye on working towards achieving a paperless office environment
  • Respond promptly and effectually to any and all questions, inquiries and reviews
  • Contribute to our overall team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


If you can accomplish what is listed above, you’ve got what it takes. You must also possess a love of numbers and proven experience in bookkeeping: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, Quickbooks reports, payroll, and other accounting tasks. You must have some experience in managing an office. You’ve got to be all about the details, and virtuosity in Quickbooks Online and Excel is key. As the face of our company, you should be able to exude a bright, cheerful and helpful attitude across a variety of communication channels, and a confidence and comfort level with Apple computers and Google work tools (Workspace, Docs, etc.) is a plus. You must be able to work independently, and a proactive, positive attitude is what we’re looking for in the ideal candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

M-F 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Pay: $55,000-$65,000 per year
